Why visit France? France is famous for its wines, cuisine and culture, not surprising that France is one of the most visited countries in the world, hosting millions of tourists every year. It is true that the great diversity of landscapes in France is a major asset for tourism in France. The coast of Normandy to the French Riviera, to the Loire Valley, Poitiers, Alsace, Provence and of course the City of Light, in France there is plenty of places and events that deserves a visit. The France stands out for its cultural resources and good air, land and its involvement in sustainable development infrastructure.
When to visit France? Summer is a great time to visit the country, except for skiing enthusiasts who rather want to go to Chamonix during the winter. So we had to make choices and we offer what we hope is the best in France.
Paris
The city light the second most visited in the world and a city that will always be a symbol of the French culture. Like all capitals, Paris is a dynamic and vibrant city that offers a multitude of opportunities. Paris is a well of wealth in perpetual motion. Unless you happen to France by land or by sea, there is a good chance that you go through Paris, so allow a few days to take advantage of this opportunity to visit one of the most admired cities in the world. Even if you do get a few days, you can visit several places of interest, proximity to major landmarks greatly help. The Parisian architecture is no exception to the rule of diversity, many buildings will testify. You'll be confronted with ancient monuments, such as the famous Notre Dame de Paris, but also to more recent works such as the National Library of France.
Museums, art galleries and artists' studios galleries do have their place in Paris, visitors attracted by the cultural aspect will be met. Looking for places located off the beaten path, check the side of the Guimet Museum which houses an Asian serenity, the Rodin Museum, which is devoted to the master of sculpture, and the Museum of Eroticism, the Wine Museum and take the time to walk in the garden Albert Kahn or stroll along the Canal St Martin.
Castles of the Loire
The castles of the Loire Valley is one of the major tourist attractions of France. Located west of Paris, in the former provinces of Anjou, Touraine and Orleans, the area extends to the door of Nantes in the former province of Brittany. Mont St Michel
Mont St Michel is located on the Normandy coast 360km from Paris. This is one of the tourist attractions of France's most visited, with over one million visitors per year. Mont St Michel is a rocky islet connected to the mainland by a small path that formerly was covered by Channel high voice laughed. Today the walls allow pedestrians and shuttle pass without problem. What makes the spectacular place is of course the abbey that dominates the rock, it is visible for miles around. Historical side say that the first sanctuary dedicated to the Archangel Michael was erected there in 709, but already a long time ago the Druids used the area, so it does not seem to have clear date of foundation, making the more mythical place.
Today if you visit the place and after that you do not really want browse souvenir shops, arrive late in the afternoon, most of the tourist buses have left. Nantes

Strasbourg
Strasbourg is a symbol of Franco-German reconciliation and not only is it the capital of Alsace and now the European Union. Like many major European cities, Strasbourg has a rich architectural heritage. Big Island form the historic center of the city, this is where you will find the cathedral of Strasbourg. This Gothic building dating from the 15th century is the fourth highest in the world.
It's also on the Big Island you will find the house Kammerzell, a German Renaissance building, built in 1427 The building now houses a restaurant and is located on Cathedral Square. Always on the big island you will find the historic district of La Petite France, browse the bike. Carcassonne
Located in the heart of the triangle Toulouse-Montpellier-Barcelona is the medieval city of Carcassonne. It is located at the crossroads of two major thoroughfares dating back to antiquity, the first linking the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and the second led to the Pyrenees. Carcassonne is in Roman times a real fortified city. In the twelfth century the lords of Trencavels, viscounts of Carcassonne, build a new castle and beautify the city that welcomes scholars, artists and troubadours.
Every summer from June to August, the city is host to a medieval festival. This multidisciplinary festival includes; theater, concerts, dance, circus arts, not to mention medieval tournaments. Among the many things to do and see in Carcassonne; St Nazaire basilica, the medieval city a World Heritage Site comprises 52 towers and two concentric walls totaling 3 kilometers of ramparts.
